The Louisa County High School Career and Technical Education Course Guide is a document we designed to help students and parents decide what CTE courses are right for them. Course pathways are graphically depicted, making it easy to figure out what order courses should be taken. Course descriptions, industry certifications, dual enrollment opportunities, hour requirements along with any other relevant information is listed. There is also information on potential careers and salaries. The Document is also available in Spanish, Russian and Italian.

Louisa County Middle School offers a diverse range of elective courses for students starting in the 6th grade. These courses encompass the Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences, Technology Education, and Business career clusters. Course sequences begin with introductory exploratory classes in sixth grade and progress through 8th grade with advanced high school credit coursework. Louisa County Public Schools is proud to offer over 50 different CTE courses that cover fourteen of the sixteen career clusters recognized by the state of Virginia. Many of our students obtain industry certifications and credentials in the career pathway of their choosing. We also partner with PVCC and J Sargent Reynolds Community College to offer dual enrollment courses. With so many options there is bound to be something that is right for you!
