Overview: On Thursday, February 28th, the Career and Technical Education Department will be hosting students, parents and community members at our second annual CTE Showcase Night.  The night will run in conjunction with parent teacher conference night at Louisa County High School from 4 pm to 7 pm.  Come out and see our students hard at work on projects, demonstrations and practicing their skills by providing services.

  

  

Services: Our automotive, cosmetology and culinary arts students will be showcasing their skills by providing services to the community!  The services will cost $5.00 each, all proceeds will go to support the CTE program 

 

Automotive Services - Have your vehicles oil changed, tires changed and balanced, wheel allignment checked, light bulb changes, air filter replacement and a general inspections done in one of our fully equipped ASE certified shops located behind LCHS!  The owner of the vehicle must provide all oil, filters and parts necessary to complete the service.  Slots are limited so schedule your appointment by clicking the button to the right.   

Salon Services - Schedule your salon appointment and let one of our talented young cosmetology students style your hair and nails while you relax in our state of the art spa chair!  As with automotive, spots are limited so schedule ASAP to ensure you leave CTE Showcase Night with a fresh look.  

Dinner - Don't leave hungry! Stop by our Culinary Arts Kitchen for a to-go BBQ meal which includes a smoked pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, beans, cookie and a drink.  Get your food while supplies last.  

Free Health Screenings - Stop by our Nursing lab to have your blood pressure, weight, and eyes checked, along with tips on proper hand washing and low cholesterol diets. 

Sweet Treats - Sample some free desserts made by our Family and Consumer Science students at LCHS.  

  

STEAM CUP - For the first time all four of the elementary STEAM programs will be coming together to battle it out for the coveted STEAM Cup.  Come watch teams of 4th and 5th graders compete in a hands on problem solving challenge.  The event will start at 5pm and will end at 7pm.

Buy your raffle tickets, 10 for $5.00 - All proceeds go to support the CTE program!  Prizes include a picnic table, tools and gift cards and more.
